she
left everything behind
drove off into the sunset
took the long way home
not even worried about her gas tank
walked in the door
threw her life on her bed...
and crawled in
staring at the ceiling
until she
couldn't resist anymore
she gazed
her mind was elsewhere
trying not to focus
on the things that meant the most to her
for she
just stared
until the ceiling turned into the darkness of her thoughts
all the ramblings of her mind
began to encumber her
like a sudden rain
the thoughts became scattered showers
just speeding by
staying only for moments
until she
couldn't resist it anymore
the fireworks fell
a balloon descending
for the helium that kept her floating
had slowly converted into just air
and after bottling up all her feelings
she hid behind a facade
until she
couldn't resist anymore
for she
had reached her breaking point
