i definitely agree with the quote

however,

only to a certain extent

i believe you can learn from happiness as well

personally, in triumphs i learn what things work better for me

and what i can accomplish

these things become inspiring

and drive me to want even greater things for myself

thus

i think the quote should read more like

‘you learn from happiness, but you learn more from pain’

to me, this relates to sssooo many things

there were many times where i look back now

and see all the things i could’ve done

should’ve done

wish i’d done

things i know would have drastically changed the outcome

i.e.

my high school basketball team

there was one occasion when i missed a game deciding free throw…

it hurt so bad

the next day, i came in the gym early, shooting free throws

left late, shooting free throws

i told myself that if it ever were to come down to that again,

i wouldn’t let my team down again…

that day never came

but it made me a better player because of that

with that

like kanye said

‘life is 5% what happens

but 95% how you react’

make sure you the difference

learning from the good and the bad

but more so

growing to become a better person
