permission vs. forgiveness

mr. anonymous writes: is it easier to ask for forgiveness than permission?

first, i think it’s based on the situation…

when i was younger, and i knew my mom would say no… there was no point in asking…

none.

and i wouldn’t even try doing it without asking

and then hoping for forgiveness…

because that lady crazy

but that’s aside from the point

nowadays

it’s so much easier asking for forgiveness than permission…

in most cases, not asking for permission usually entails that asking will end in denial; permission rejected

so why not do what you want now

and worry about the repercussions later

in the end, all things will be fine

and then there’s the out scenario where

you should’ve have to ask for permission

i should be able to do what i want, when i want…

we’re all adults

accountable for our own actions, correct?

however,

the sad part of the story is

just because it works

doesn’t make it acceptable…

knowingly doing something that can be considered wrong

especially to someone you care about

can’t really be right

it’s unfair to not even allow them the chance to weigh the options

give any input

and more selfish of said persons to take it upon themselves

thus,

the compromise

i’ll probably be asking for permission a lot more now…

hopefully its granted ::hint, hint::

if not,

imma do it anyway

[maybe]

::probably not::

tis all
