i loss someone very dear to me
loss the chance to say goodbye
i loss the opportunity to give him one last hug
loss the chance to say thank you one last time
i gained an angel watching over me
gained some open eyes
i gained a little more understanding
gained stronger family ties
gained respect for life itself
gained more memories to reminisce
gained the strength to ease the wound
gained something more to miss
though the loss hurt so much, i understand i'll gain more through time...

::tear:: still hurts homie. i still can't believe he's gone. we take so much for granted sometimes. not knowing the last time might really be the last time. and i gained too, a little more such(ness), another angel, courage to say and show just how much i love you now, and more memories to cherish!
