lady bugs...

i've got ladybugs...
not butterflies, or love mites
but
those red and black
polka dotted ladybugs
that tingling feeling
in my belly
triggered by thought
sending chills down my spine
goosebumps up my arms...
so anxious
and jittery
nervous but excited
those red and black
polka dotted ladybugs
past the emotionally confuzzled
before spiritual epiphany
slightly near the borderline
lay these ladies
carrying, the uncertainty that it could be wrong
but feeling that it's "oh so, right"
scared to initiate a flight destined for destruction
but ready to risk it
those red and black
polka dotted ladybugs
the principles unknown
just a fragmented thesis
dissertation, awaiting tentative experiment
hoping the theoretical abstract
will, in transition, result in gratifying knowledge
concluding in scientific fulfillment
undying happiness

i've got them....

and don't mind, at all....
